War Horse Information:

War Horse is an adaptation by Nick Stafford of a book of the same name by acclaimed children's writer, Michael Morpurgo. It was first staged on 17 October 2007 at the National Theatre on London's South Bank and ran through to 14 February 2008. The production returned to the National Theatre for a second run from 10 September 2008 to 18 March 2009. It transferred to the West End's New London Theatre ten days after it closed at the National, and is booking until February 2012. In March 2011 it begins a run at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at the Lincoln Center, New York.

In February 2010 it was announced that the play will transfer to New York City, New York, United States. Director Steven Spielberg bought the film rights of the play, and as of August and September 2010 is shooting,the film adaptation on location in the UK.
